Who we are

developerstory (developerstory.xyz) is a content platform where Indian software engineers share real career growth stories with actual salary numbers. It is operated by Teckas Technologies, based in India.

What data we collect

We only collect data you voluntarily provide:

• Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter via the subscribe form on this site.

We do not collect names, phone numbers, payment information, or any other personal data unless you email us directly.

How we use your data

Your email address is used solely to:

• Send you a welcome email confirming your subscription
• Send periodic newsletters featuring new developer career stories (typically weekly)

We will never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.

Where your data is stored

Email addresses are stored securely with Resend (resend.com), our email delivery provider. Resend is GDPR-compliant and stores data on servers within the EU/US. You can read their privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Analytics

We use PostHog (posthog.com) to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which stories are read most, how far people scroll, and how many visitors subscribe. PostHog collects anonymised usage data. No personally identifiable information is linked to analytics events.

We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising trackers.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies required for analytics (PostHog session tracking). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Unsubscribe at any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
• Access the data we hold about you — email us at hello@developerstory.xyz.
• Delete your data — email us and we will remove your email from our list within 7 days.

Data retention

We retain your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, your email is removed from our active list immediately and permanently deleted within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
